Quantity Surveyor
Deconstruct are recognised as a leading Specialist Contractor in the safe delivery of structurally and logistically challenging demolition and sub-structural packages.
Through continued planned expansion we are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will posses a minimum of 2 years experience and should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and keen interest in our specialist field, with the ability to commercially deliver a range of challenging projects. We will further develop the candidate’s skill through a programme of supported experience gained within the role.
As Quantity Surveyor you will be working with the commercial team on cost-management, measurement, estimating, procurement and buying for multiple projects. As well as offering sound and reliable advice to the operations team regarding commercial matters on each of the projects you would be responsible for.
General Responsibilities:
- Valuations.
- Procurement and payment of sub-contractors.
- Measurement of works.
- Project budgeting / costing / forecasting.
- Liaising with clients.
- Evaluate and agree variations and instructions.
- Estimating.
The Candidate:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience in demolition, groundworks, builderswork and steelwork would be an advantage.
- Commercially aware with a good knowledge of the construction process from tender to handover.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Working knowledge of excel & word essential.
- Proactive, self-motivated and conscientious.
- To have excellent people skills

Operations Manager
Deconstruct are recognised as a leading Specialist Contractor in the safe delivery of structurally and logistically challenging demolition and sub-structural packages.
Through continued planned expansion we are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will posses a minimum of 5 years experience in a Construction Management role and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and keen interest in our specialist field. We will further develop the candidate’s skill through a programme of supported experience gained within the role.
The successful candidate will have over-arching responsibility for the delivery of multiple projects with values ranging from 50k - £5m, predominantly in the Greater London area. An attractive package will be offered and will have performance incentives attached.
The Responsibility
- To ensure our delivery teams are successfully supported
- To work on tenders and secure new projects
- To work with clients and design engineers to develop schemes and proposals
- To work with the commercial teams to ensure budgets and cost are managed

Asbestos Operations Manager
Since 2010, the Deconstruct UK Limited asbestos division has established itself as a reliable and dependable asbestos removal company, delivering a high quality service in London and the South East.
We are looking for an experienced Asbestos Operations Manager to join our team in a central role to assist growth within our asbestos division over the next three years and beyond.
The successful candidate will build upon our existing client base and will ensure that the highest standards of compliance and quality are maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record within the asbestos industry and should be able to demonstrate the ability to expand our client base through the addition of his or her own contacts. The individual will have good business acumen and sound commercial knowledge as the role will involve estimating of contracts and management of our project database ensuring that all tenders are priced in a timely manner and tracked through until invoicing. They must also possess the ability and knowledge to increase sales, whilst maintaining a solid margin.
A good understanding of the regulations and governance that underpin the asbestos industry is a pre-requisite and the individual must be able to provide demonstrable evidence of planning asbestos abatement projects and be proficient in the preparation of plans of work and risk assessments.

Assistant to the Financial Manager
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: London, West End
Salary: Up to £25,000 depending on experience
The Role:
This is a responsible role within our Finance department. Reporting to the Financial Manager. The key responsibilities for the post are:
- Checking and processing of invoices onto the Purchase Ledger, reconciling statements,
filing of invoices and statements and responding to supplier enquiries.
- Preparation of a weekly creditor report.
- Undertake credit control activities and prepare a weekly debtor report.
- Process staff expenses
- Reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis
- Perform tasks as required by the Financial Manager that are considered within your
ability, eg, Management of Accounts with Utility Suppliers etc.
- Ensuring the company’s internal control and treasury policies and
procedures are followed
- Dealing with the filing of statutory returns
- Deputise for the Financial Manager in his absence
- Working with other Group Companies in a similar capacity as you will for Deconstruct.
About the Person:
It is very important that the successful candidate will be one that the Company feels will help promote a good working relationship within the organisation. We are looking for an ambitious individual with the following experience and attributes:
- Have had experience of working in a small team in a financial environment
- Good knowledge of project accounting and job costing
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Computer literacy with at least a good knowledge of MS Office modules especially the
ability to produce reports using Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Construct is essential
